About the Project

Exit Visa No.1 is the remarkable true story of two people who meet and fall in love in a post Stalinist Russia at the height of the Cold War. One American, one Russian, they are forced to battle the secrecy, oppression and brutality of the Soviet Union to win their freedom and their life together in America.
